The Chicago Killifish Association is the First & Oldest Killifish Group in the USA.

The Chicago Killifish Association (ChiKA) serves not only the Chicago metropolitan area, but now hosts members as far south as central Illinois, western Illinois to Rock Island and the Mississippi, and beyond into Iowa, east into Indiana, and north into Wisconsin.  ChiKA is an organization of dedicated killifish keepers and breeders.  ChiKA is an affiliate of the American Killifish Association (AKA).

FEATURED SPEAKER:  John Boylan with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute

Our guest speaker, John Boylan, has made 4 trips to Panama studying for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. He has discovered several new species and uncovered and explored new areas. John will be bringing some N&R from his last trip for the auction!  His list includes many rivulus which are either New or from new locations.   His offerings also include a number of livebearers that are new collections from the wild.

What's  New

  •  Last Meeting - 2PM Jan 16 Holiday Inn Select Naperville The January meeting featured a live food round table.  We had a total of 25 attending, including several first timers.  The discussions were great and there were huge amounts of live foods in both the auction and for sale
